He was joined by senior research coordinator, Luis Hern\u00e1ndez.<\/p><p data-renderer-start-pos=\"556\">The KEP is a Breeding and Research Services (<span data-highlighted=\"true\" data-vc=\"highlighted-text\"><span class=\"_11q7y4f7 _5pioz8co _189eyh40 _n3tdv77o _1il9nqa1 _19lcevot _d0altlke acronym-highlight\" data-testid=\"acronym-highlight\">BRS<\/span><\/span>) initiative that grants funding for on-site collaboration between a mentor and a participant. It concluded the <span data-highlighted=\"true\" data-vc=\"highlighted-text\"><span class=\"_11q7y4f7 _5pioz8co _189eyh40 _n3tdv77o _1il9nqa1 _19lcevot _d0altlke acronym-highlight\" data-testid=\"acronym-highlight\">CIAT-<\/span><\/span>Forage programs&#8217; <span data-highlighted=\"true\" data-vc=\"highlighted-text\">EBS<\/span> adoption, which started in July 2024. The KEP aimed to collect <span data-highlighted=\"true\" data-vc=\"highlighted-text\">CIAT-<\/span>Forage program\u2019s requirements, including their harvest use cases and breeding processes, discuss breeding analytics tools and methodologies, and explore other required services such as shipment and inventory management.<\/p><p data-renderer-start-pos=\"1031\"><span data-highlighted=\"true\" data-vc=\"highlighted-text\">The EBS<\/span> adoption lead, May Ann Sallan, spearheaded key EBS topics. Others sessions were led by the <span data-highlighted=\"true\" data-vc=\"highlighted-text\">EBS<\/span> <span data-highlighted=\"true\" data-vc=\"highlighted-text\">IRRI<\/span> Data Management Team consisting of Ma. Concepcion Lotho, Ma. Consuelo Parducho, and Michael Reyes, the <span data-highlighted=\"true\" data-vc=\"highlighted-text\">EBS<\/span> Communication Team led by Ruth Carpio, and some of the developers from the Core Breeding domain. The Breeding Analytics (<span data-highlighted=\"true\" data-vc=\"highlighted-text\">BA<\/span>) team led by Alaine Gulles facilitated the workshops for the <span data-highlighted=\"true\" data-vc=\"highlighted-text\">BA<\/span> tools and Bioflow.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-85b963f e-flex e-con-boxed e-con e-parent\" data-id=\"85b963f\" data-element_type=\"container\" data-e-type=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"e-con-inner\">\n\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element This ensured that the <span data-highlighted=\"true\" data-vc=\"highlighted-text\">EBS<\/span> team is oriented on the required adjustments on key <span data-highlighted=\"true\" data-vc=\"highlighted-text\">EBS<\/span> configurations. This guarantees that forage crops are fully accommodated in the system. The overall aim of the program is to create a conducive setup for the transfer of relevant knowledge and skills to requesting research centers.<\/p><p data-renderer-start-pos=\"3648\">The tropical forages are the first <span data-highlighted=\"true\" data-vc=\"highlighted-text\">CIAT<\/span> programs to adopt <span data-highlighted=\"true\" data-vc=\"highlighted-text\">EBS<\/span>. In 2023, <span data-highlighted=\"true\" data-vc=\"highlighted-text\"><span class=\"_11q7y4f7 _5pioz8co _189eyh40 _n3tdv77o _1il9nqa1 _19lcevot _d0altlke acronym-highlight\" data-testid=\"acronym-highlight\">CGIAR<\/span><\/span> endorsed <span data-highlighted=\"true\" data-vc=\"highlighted-text\">EBS<\/span> as its preferred breeding data management system.<\/p><p data-renderer-start-pos=\"3791\"><span data-highlighted=\"true\" data-vc=\"highlighted-text\">EBS<\/span> transforms crop breeding by offering a single data management system that digitalizes the breeding process.
