The EBS Global User Support team concluded the CIMMYT-VACS Train-the-Trainer program with strong participation and effective delivery. Twelve participants completed all requirements and were certified. Follow-up initiatives, including continued guidance and additional training, aim to strengthen local capacity for independent EBS training execution.
From 12–23 January 2026, the Enterprise Breeding System (EBS) Knowledge Exchange Program (KEP) was successfully conducted at IRRI Headquarters, Philippines, convening partners from the International Potato Center (CIP)–Kenya and CIMMYT–Ethiopia for an intensive, hands-on training on centralized process operations and EBS core breeding workflows.
The Enterprise Breeding System (EBS) Knowledge Exchange Program was held 1–12 December 2025 in Nairobi, Kenya, to strengthen wheat breeding capacity for the Ethiopian Institute of Agricultural Research (EIAR). Structured, hands-on sessions enabled participants to apply EBS for data management, enhance collaboration, and support standardized, data-driven breeding across regional research programs.
🌱 Following the launch of Breeding for Tomorrow (B4T) at the CGIAR Science Week in Nairobi, Kenya on 08 April 2025, representatives from the B4T and Breeding Resources (BR) teams also hosted the shared booth to connect and network with breeders and researchers.
🚀 During the event, the Enterprise Breeding System (EBS) team also showcased how it can transform crop breeding to drive faster breeding cycles and data-driven decisions for a food-secure future.
