The Enterprise Breeding System (EBS) was showcased through the IRRI Kenya exhibition booth during KALRO Science Week 2026, engaging over 30 stakeholders from the agricultural research community. The event increased EBS visibility, fostered new partnerships, and highlighted how digital solutions are supporting modern breeding programs and data-driven agricultural research.

From September 8–12, 2025, IRRI hosted a Train-the-Trainers program on the Enterprise Breeding System (EBS), empowering PhilRice participants to master EBS as part of their system, advanced integrations, and breeding data workflows. By preparing them as future trainers, the event strengthens capacity and drives wider adoption of digital innovations in rice breeding.
Rodolfo emphasized that “EBS doesn’t just make breeding or research easier—it shifts the focus from process management to actual discovery, which is the heart of research.”
